Thomas A. Tithof, of Chesaning, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
Tom was born on December 29, 1946, to Walt and Sally (Deitering) Tithof in Owosso, Michigan. He graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 1965. He entered the Air Force returning home to marry Paula Jordan on February 1, 1969, at St. Michaels Church in Oakley.
Tom worked at GM Flint and retired after 30+ years of service. Tom was a skilled carpenter his entire life, keeping busy after retirement doing many side jobs and gardening. In his younger years he played softball and coached little league, fished and was an avid hunter. He attended and watched many professional sports teams, including Chesaning. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren grow and attending a variety of their school events.
Surviving are his three dedicated, loving daughters, Tracy (Mike) Fall, Brooke (Shawn) Coffman and Sarah Tithof. Seven grandchildren, Hailey and Lindsie, Alexis and Jerod, Callie and Caleb, Rylee and Hayden, Noah and Rhiann, Elisse and Braxton. SIster's Bev (Mel) Yaklin and Shari (George) Gewirtz, Brother Dick (Judy) Tithof. Sister-in-law Colleen (Jordan) Greg Krupp, Brother in laws Pat (Janice) Jordan, Chris (Diane) Jordan. He was predeceased by his loving, patient wife Paula, infant daughter Mary, his parents Walt and Sally, his in laws Bill and Margaret Jordan, his sister in laws, Debbie Jordan, Margie TIthof and brother-in-law, Vic Amman.
Honoring his wishes Tom has been cremated. The Daughters wish to thank all of Tom's friends for their visits and calls to him.
Service will be Saturday January 4, 2025, at McGeehan Funeral Home in Chesaning. Visitation beginning at 11:00 with service to follow at 1:00. Donations may be made to Chesaning Parks and Rec. or wishes of the family.
