Timothy Ray Land was born February 25, 1960, in Houston, Missouri. He was one of two children born to David Ray and Barbara Ann (Wells) Land. His family lived in St. Louis for a few years before making Salem their permanent home. Tim graduated with the class of 1978 from Salem High School.
Tim was united in marriage to the love of his life, Paula Sue Holzschuh, on February 27, 1982. They spent the last forty-two years creating a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Tim and Paula were blessed with two daughters, Britney and Briana, whom they were very proud of.
Tim started his working career Kraft Craig Distributing working nights in the freezer department. While working he started furthering his education with Missouri S&T and received his bachelor's degree with Drury University. Tim worked his way up to Sales Manager with US Foods.
Tim liked spending time outdoors enjoying what nature provided. He loved going on family vacations and has many fond memories camping, fishing, and boating on Table Rock Lake. He was a jack of all trade and enjoyed working and building things. He truly enjoyed tinkering on his old cars.
Tim had an unwavering commitment to his family, who he cherished above all else. He loved time spent with his grandchildren who affectionately called him, "Binky". Tim was really content being behind the scenes and underplayed everything he did. He was a man of strong faith and longtime member of Salem First Baptist Church. Mr. Tim was highly involved with the Youth and Children Ministry, along with his wife Paula. He really enjoyed being part of Camp Joy.
Tim entered into eternal rest November 12, 2024, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife: Paula Land of Salem, MO; daughters: Britney Christesen and husband Phil of Salem, MO and Briana Thompson and husband Matt of Salem, MO; sister: Annette Vest and husband Terry of Salem, MO; grandchildren: Drew, Will, Luke, Cora, and Harper; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents: David "Buddy" and Barbara (Wells) Land.
His dedication to his family, church, and career never went unnoticed. Tim was a humble man who always put others first and lived life to the fullest. He will be forever missed by those who loved him most.
