Tina C. Gibson, 70, of Wolcottville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 24, 1954, in War, West Virginia, to George and Goldie (Hicks) Charles.
On January 7, 2000, in LaGrange County, she married James Gibson. He preceded her in death on December 19, 2010.
She retired from Alternative Lifestyles in LaGrange where she worked in home health care. She also worked as an EMT for Noble County for seven years, and was a Rome City police officer.
Tina enjoyed riding motorcycles and tending to her rose garden. She dearly loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five children, Jessica (Jayson) Smith of Kendallville, Larry Polly, Jr. of Angola, Tyana (William) Jeffries of Wolcottville, Mary (Jackie ) Williams of LaGrange, and Casey Polly of Wolcottville; 18 grandchildren, Dustin Polly, Caleb Polly, Sammi Gibson, Celeste Kline, Malaki Jefferies, Rainah Jefferies, Chase (Makayla Marshall) Miller, Caitlynn (Zach Hillman) Miller, Charlie Miller, Larry Miller, Emily Zimmerman, Taylor Williams, Megan Williams, Cameron Williams, Angel Taylor, Connor Leins, Elaine Leins, and Kadynce Smith; several great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Jan (Tim) Kirk of West Virginia, Linda Charles of Goshen, Barbara Johnson of North Carolina, and Trisha Anders of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Spring Rayn Everage; a sister, Thelma Meyers; and four brothers, Corbit Charles, Cordell Charles, George E. Charles, and Gordon Charles.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
Arrangements are by Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
