Katherine Roberts Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home - Ottawa on Nov. 11, 2025.
Katherine Ann Roberts, 61, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away on November 10, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1964, in Boone, Iowa, to Paul Frye and Lorene (Plain) Frye.
In February of 1983, Katherine married Jeffrey Roberts, and although they later divorced, they shared two sons who remained the center of her life.
Katherine earned her nursing degree and devoted much of her career to caring for children. She worked with compassion at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where her gentle strength and dedication touched countless young lives and their families.
Katherine loved her family deeply and was always dedicated to being there to support them, encourage them, and make them smile. Her nature was to help people, whether through her work as a nurse or through simple everyday acts of kindness. She built her life in Olathe, Kansas, grounded in love, loyalty, and a genuine desire to care for others. In 2019, she moved to Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Richmond, KS and continued to touch the lives of those she met.
Katherine is survived by her two sisters, Paula Robertson and Debbie Winslow (and spouse David), all residing in Missouri. She is also survived by her two sons: Joshua Roberts and wife Jessica Roberts of Rantoul, Kansas and Jeremy Roberts and partner Jessi Dresslaer of Ottawa, Kansas. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and one cherished great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to her heart.
Katherine will forever live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed by her kindness and love.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends.
In Katherine's memory, the family kindly invites donations to the Huntington's Disease Society of America to support ongoing research and the search for a cure-an effort close to Katherine and their hearts.
