Valery Jane Davis, age 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Starke, Florida, on March 26, 2025. Born on October 17, 1965, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Valery was known for her warm heart and nurturing spirit. She lived a life rich with love and laughter, creating a comforting home for her family and friends.
After moving to Florida as a teenager, Valery made Starke her home. She met Ronald Davis and was married to him for the past 27 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy and memorable moments. She is survived by her children: Isaac Davis, Rhonda Kimbrell, Sandra Castellese, Jayden Davis and Ledawn Warren. Valery's legacy continues through her seven beloved grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride.
Valery was a remarkable good listener, always making time for those who needed a compassionate ear. She had a deep passion for thrift shopping, as well as a love for traveling, often journeying to Disney and back to her hometown of Tennessee. Her family's well-being was her proudest accomplishment, showcasing her unwavering dedication and love.
She will be remembered fondly by her brothers: Joseph, Lawrence, and Kyle Christian, along with her sisters: Phyllis Thorpe, Dana Horne, Florence Hilton, and Evelyn Bailey. Valery is predeceased by her parents, Martin Christian, Jr. and Janie Densmore Christian, as well as five other siblings.
The warmth of Valery’s spirit and the kindness she extended will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends. A visitation will be held on April 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Starke, located at 163 W Jefferson St, Starke, FL 32091. This will be followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Roger Worten officiating. The family invites all who knew her to come together to celebrate her life and legacy.
