After a long fight battling the pains of multiple myeloma (blood and bone cancer) and other underlying health conditions, Veronica Lorraine Johnson has allowed the Lord to carry her home. Finally, being able to rest in His arms is the only thing she truly ever wanted to do. Veronica "Ronnie" Lorraine Tillman was born in 1962 in Marietta, Georgia at Kennestone Hospital to Katie and James Tillman. Veronica was the sister of Natalie Ezzard, James Tillman, Melody Freeman, Gabriel Tillman, and Chris Tillman.
Veronica graduated from Marietta High School and went on to get her degree in Business Administration from Chattahoochee Technical College. She went on to get married to Steve Eugene Johnson at Vision for Souls Church in Mableton, Georgia.
Veronica loved God with all of her heart and she would not hesitate to let you know that. Veronica had unwavering love, kindness, and strength. A generous spirit who always put others before herself. She was dedicated to family, and also had a very strong work ethic. She knew how to hustle and make things happen. She knew your life better than you did. She was Bossy and definitively got the nickname Boss Hog. She was the ultimate fighter.
Veronica leaves her legacy of two children Antwaun Wright (son) and Brittney Johnson (daughter), three grandchildren Najih Poree (6), Nova Poree (3), Nexus Poree (4 months), husband Steve Johnson and an overwhelming amount of loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 3:00PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
