Vickie Ragnar Obituary

Vickie L. Ragnar, 78, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Born December 19, 1945, in Sikeston, MO, the daughter of Peter and Laura (Kindred) Stanaitis. Vickie married Thomas M. Ragnar; he predeceased her on January 11, 2013. Before retiring and moving to Heritage Woods she worked for Sundstrand, the Beloit Clinic, and was a member of Faith Center and Daughter's of the Nile. Her lifelong goal was to get a college education; it took her 30 years, but she received her diploma in May of 2023 from Rock Valley College.
Survived by her children, Thomas (Ann) Ragnar, Timothy (Dawn) Ragnar, and son-in-law, Kenneth Coleman. Grandchildren, Katherine Ragnar, Michael, Nicole, Jay, and Kenny Coleman, and Shireah and Cole Ragnar. Great-grandchildren, Athavion, Michael Jr., Maliyah, Jamarco, Wayne Jr., and Barrett. Brothers, Peter (Sheran) Stanaitis, Larry Stanaitis, and sister-in-law, Barb (Dave) Tanaglia; and nieces and nephews. Vickie was also predeceased by her parents; and daughter, Susan Coleman (2016).
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
