Vickie Strickland Obituary

Vickie Lynn Strickland, 67, of Fargo, ND passed away on August 25, 2024 at Eventide in Moorhead, MN. She was born June 13, 1957 at St. Cloud, MN to William and Lois (Domm) Strickland. Shortly after that the family moved to Duluth, MN and then to Hawley, MN where Vickie graduated from Hawley High School in 1975. She then attended Moorhead Vocational Technical College for secretarial training. After her schooling, Vickie worked for Lincoln Mutual Insurance Company in Fargo and continued her employment there after it was bought out by Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
Vickie enjoyed going to the lakes, reading, cross stitch, traveling, cooking and baking and she loved going to Dan Seals Concerts.
She is survived by her sister, Donna (Lewis) Lyons, Enderlin, ND; brother, Don (Mary Lynn) Strickland, Rogers, MN; half-sister, JoAnne (Ken) Wiggins, College Place, WA; five nieces & nephews, Angie (Ben Barnes) Strickland, Bobby Strickland, Andy (Shelby) Lyons, Amy (Richard) Gramlow, and Susie (Tanner) Long; and seven great-nieces & nephews, Loretta & Levi Lyons, Russell, Charlotte & Leo Gramlow and Rennat & Cordele Long. Vickie was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by her funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Lisbon. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery near Milnor following the funeral. Vickie's service will be live streamed here.
