Vincent Percival Morgan, affectionately known as Lovell, was born on March 3, 1950, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Vinnette and Neeri Morgan. He was the fifth of eleven children, growing up in a vibrant household filled with love and laughter.
Vincent attended Seaward Primary School, now known as Seward All Age School, and continued his education at Cobourn Garden All Age School. His early career began with the Jamaica Railroad Cooperation, where he developed a strong work ethic that would define his life. In pursuit of new opportunities, Vincent migrated to the United States, where he became a dedicated Union worker with Local 665 until his retirement.
A man of many talents, Vincent was not only hardworking but also fiercely competitive. He ventured into various businesses, from welding, being a landlord, owning a grocery store to raising chickens, pigs, rabbits, and pigeons. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his generosity to those he loved.
In his leisure time, Vincent found joy in playing domino's, cards, and bingo, as well as fishing and cooking. He was known for throwing memorable parties that brought neighbors together, all while enjoying Jamaica's finest, Wray and Nephew.
Vincent's health began to decline over the years, but his spirit remained strong. Surrounded by loved ones, both near and far, he gained his wings on September 6, 2024, at 10:32 PM at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT.
Vincent is survived by his beloved family and a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory. His legacy of hard work, love, and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Lovell.
