Vivian Ensley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory - Homedale on Mar. 28, 2025.
It is with great sadness that the family of Vivian Ensley, 82, announces her passing in her Marsing home on August 1st, 2023. Vivian, the youngest of 11 children, was born on June 16th, 1941, to Evelyn and Joe Uria. She was born and raised in Homedale, ID. It was there in her hometown that she cheered for her high school and fell in love with a basketball player from a rival team, Dick Ensley, after giving him a hard time of course! She married him on February 21st, 1959, created a beautiful life together raising kids, racing pigeons, and admiring the beauty in flowers. Vivian's husband and children describe her as strong, loving, special, brave and the absolute best. There is no doubt she loved unconditionally her whole life.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Joe Uria, siblings; Mary Uria, Victor and Roma Uria, Louis and Bev Uria, Eddy Uria, Bob Wegman and Julia and Kenny Clarey, and her mother and father-in-law; Evelyn and Everett Ensley. Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 64 years; Dick Ensley, her four children; Dan and Lyndee Ensley, Dewayne Ensley, Vickie Ensley, and Valerie Ensley and "adopted" son, Jack Miller, her siblings; Floyd and Blanch Uria, Dorothy Wegman, Violet Rowland, Joyce Snow, and Margaret and Jerry Ensley. Vivian was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She got so much joy out of seeing all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. She cherished every updated photo and visit she would receive.
Services in the loving memory of Vivian will be held on Monday August 7th, 2023. The viewing will begin in Homedale at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel at 10am, 11am Service with the burial to follow at the Wilder Cemetery, and dinner immediately following at the Basque Center in Homedale. Flowers can be sent to 27 E Owyhee Ave, Homedale, ID 83628.
