Wayne Townsend Coleman, age 71, of Golf, IL, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at his residence. Devoted son of the late Sheldon and Ruth, née Townsend, Coleman, he was born October 5, 1953, in Worcester, MA.
Beloved husband of Heidi, née Weitmann; loving father of Kate (Jacob) Wilson and Christopher Coleman (Rennie Pasquinelli); cherished grandfather of Toby Wilson; dear brother of Ann (the late Roger) Ward, Marcia (Bruce) Williams, and the late Joel (Debbie) Coleman and Jayne Robertson.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend whose warmth, energy, and love for life will never be forgotten. He was a man of many passions with love for his family and so much joy in the moments spent with them. Whether it was spending quiet evenings watching movies or barefoot water skiing in Massachusetts, Wayne was a man of many talents. A true movie buff, Wayne could spend hours sharing his favorite films or diving into the latest electronics, finding joy in the latest gadgets or a new setup. He was also an avid animal lover. Wayne was always willing to sit down and indulge in a quiet conversation or a casual Sunday trip to Costco. Perhaps what defined Wayne most was his role as a supportive and loving father. Whether he was on the sidelines at his kids' games, coaching their teams, or cheering them on from the stands, he was their biggest fan. His pride in their achievements was evident to everyone around him. Together with his beloved wife, Heidi, the pair created a beautiful life, one full of memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew them. Though he may no longer be with us, Wayne's legacy lives on in the joy he brought to others and the many lives he touched. He will be remembered for his boundless spirit, his dedication to his family, and the countless moments of happiness and laughter that he shared with us all. He will be missed dearly.
A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284 (heart.org).
