A. Wayne Noland, 100, of LaGrange, IN died at his home on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Mr. Noland was born on December 2, 1923, in Markelville, IN to Arthur Ray and Freda (Ballinger) Noland.
Living for many years in LaGrange, he was a loan officer at Farmers State Bank for 25 years and had also been the mayor of LaGrange. Wayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange. He had also wintered for 31 years in Englewood, FL.
Wayne was a United States Army Veteran having served in World War II.
On September 20, 1946, in Howe, IN, he married Pauline Hawk; Mrs. Noland preceded him in death on November 23, 1994.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Michael Wagner of Vero Beach, FL and Kristie (Tim Sheets) Hensley of LaGrange, IN.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Dennis Wagner; a sister, June Roberts; and two brothers, Thurl Noland and Carl Noland.
A funeral service will take on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, 209 W. Spring St., LaGrange, IN with Rev. Crystal Jacobson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 4-7 pm at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 209 W. Spring St., LaGrange, IN 46761.
