Wendell Bush, age 80, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at Camelia Healthcare in Claxton. He was born in Minter, GA on September 8, 1944, to Hyman and Vivian Jones Bush. He had lived in Laurens County most of his life moving to Claxton four years ago. Wendell was an US Army Veteran and was the owner of Bush Tree Services. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and eating at the Krispy Chic. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dublin and is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Hal Bush; his grandson, Michael McLean; and his brother, Wayne Bush.
He is survived by his children, Janie (Keith) Culpepper of Cadwell, Shawn Burgess of FL, Melinda Taylor of Hazlehurst, Lana Bush of Dublin and Cassi (Nick) McLean of Claxton; sister, Elaine Smith of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Chris Culpepper, Julie (Chris) Kubeck, Austin (Katie) Bush, Jonathan Bush, Ruby Laine McLean, and Major McLean; great grandsons, Hal and Henry Bush; several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Bush family.
