Wendy Renee Blue, born on June 22, 1978, in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, passed away on February 12, 2025. Throughout her life, Wendy was known for her vibrant spirit and passion for the arts. She graduated from the University on North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's degree in fine arts, a testament to her dedication to her craft.
Wendy's enthusiasm for creativity was matched only by her love for cooking and her delight in sharing her creations with friends and family. She had a particular fondness for various styles of artwork, often immersing herself in projects that allowed her free spirit to soar. In her leisure, she enjoyed watching funny animal videos, bringing joy and laughter into her life. She was nicknamed "Cheezy" because of her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her father Kenneth Blue and her mother Rhonda Nesbit. Her beloved son, Thomas Cody Blankenship, and her cherished grandson, Weston Lee Blankenship. Wendy also leaves behind her brothers, Chris, Ray, and Jake, along with numerous aunts. uncles, nieces and nephews as well as her loyal fur baby "Van".
Wendy’s memory will be honored with a visitation on February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 Oak Grove St., Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
Her free spirit and warm heart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
