Bill (B to family), age 88 went to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma; grew up in Natchitoches, LA; and was a longtime resident of Hammond, LA. Bill proudly served his country as a Signal Man, on the USS Harry E. Hubbard, in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was an active member of his Hammond community, and surrounding Tangipahoa Parish communities. Bill served for years as a faithful Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula. He is remembered as a man quick to respond to those in need. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who is already dearly missed.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Jones Bice; sons, Robert Bice, Eric Mulina, Thomas Bice, and James Bice; grandchildren, David Bice, Morgan Babers, John Bice, Kendall Loren Denney, Matthew Glen Mulina, Stacey Lynn Nelson, Russell William Bice, Sherrie Rene Olage, Christopher Bice, and Christie Kindle; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Fletcher Burch.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Arlin Bice and Lemee Bice.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 West Hammond, LA. on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Bill's friend, Dr. David Cranford, who is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula will officiate the service.
