Graveside service for Mr. William Donald Hammock (Donnie), 82, of Kellyton, Alabama, will be Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Kellyton Memory Gardens. Bro. Roger Green and Mr. Douglas Moody will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 16, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30am, at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammock passed away on August 12, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 9, 1940, in Tallapoosa County, Al. to Ellie Harris Hammock Bailey and William Bryant Hammock. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, Auburn football and Nascar. Donnie retired from Russell Corporation, where he made lifelong friends at #2 mill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann (Catchings) Hammock, grandchild, Beth Moseley, his mother and father, and his brother, Calvin Darwin Hammock.
He is survived by his daughters; Melanie Moseley of Kellyton, and Kristi Moody (Douglas) of Hackneyville; four grandchildren; Cooper Moody, Daniel Moseley (Kayla), Meredith Moody Wingler (Michael) and Neil Moseley (Andi); three great-grandchildren: Madalynn Brooke Moseley, Hunter Dawson Moseley and Margaret Ann Wingler. Donnie is also survived by his sister, Janet Nolen along with several nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you to the Enhabit Hospice group, and the wonderful caretakers who took care of Donnie in his last days. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
