Patricia Bobbitt Obituary

Patricia Cooper Bobbitt, 81, of Hilliard, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023.
She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence R. Cooper, and mother, Iva Nell Cooper. She leaves behind her sister, Lydia Cooper; her son, Stephen (Becky) Bobbitt and grandchildren, Adam Dowdell, Cade Dowdell, Bryn Dowdell, and Benjamin Bobbitt; and her daughter, Becky (Nick) Mirando and grandchildren, Roman Mirando, Dallon Mirando and Rocco Mirando.
A celebration of life service and lunch was held at First Baptist Church Hilliard on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.
Patricia was affectionately known as "Gammy" by everyone she met. After 30 years of service, she retired from the Duval County school system. She served most of that time as a bookkeeper and last served at Sandalwood High School.
She loved the Georgia Bulldogs and was often recognized by the Bulldog flags flying from her car windows. But what she was most passionate about was sharing her love for Christ, asking everyone if they knew Jesus. She was a member at First Baptist Church Hilliard and served there as a Sunday School teacher to young elementary-aged students for many years.
Gammy loved people and enjoyed celebrating birthdays by mailing birthday cards to everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by all.
