Richard Yingling Obituary

Richard Keith "Rick" Yingling, Jr., 70, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and best friend. Rick was born May 15, 1954 in Gettysburg, PA and was the cherished son of Arlyn Rebecca Yingling of Westminster, and the late Richard Keith Yingling, Sr. Rick was a member of the first graduating class of the then, new Westminster High School in 1972. He could build and fix just about anything, which led him to a career as a general contractor for his company, "Blue Sky Construction." He was a dedicated employee for Target Community & Educational Services, Inc. for 30 years. While there, he worked in maintenance and took pride in completing a multitude of projects. Throughout the years, Rick developed a special place in his heart for the clients he served in the Target Community. Rick loved animals and being with family and friends. He was a gifted musician who enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters Nancy Yingling and husband R. Neal Hoffman, and Deborah Yingling all of Westminster; best friend Debra L. Hahn; Aunt Nicky Yingling of Ohio and many loving cousins and extended family and friends. Rick was a member of St. Mary's United Church of Christ. In honor of Rick's request, services and interment will be private and officiated by Pastor Sam Chamelin.
