LENDA KAREN BREEDING Lenda Karen Breeding, 77, of Shawnee, Okla., passed away on Thursday, September 26 after a long and fulfilling life. Lenda was born on May 31, 1947, to Troy Ray Ware and Helen Patrica (Banks) Ware in Tulsa, Okla. Lenda grew up and graduated high school in the small northern Oklahoma town of Shidler. In January of 1969, she met Dan Elwood Breeding and they wed in April of 1969 in Tahlequah, Okla., going on to adopt two children, Matthew Corey Breeding and Timothy Aaron Breeding. Both Lenda and Dan were born at Flower Hospital in Tulsa. Lenda worked in the insurance industry for many years before retiring. After retiring she spent her time with her children and grandchildren, gardening and knitting. She also loved dogs and dog shows. Lenda was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Hall, two children, Matt Breeding and Tim Breeding and her three grandchildren Anna, Ronan and Adam. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 2 at 12 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, Okla., 202 S. McNabb Dr., Mounds, OK 74047. Services are under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Okla.
