I’m sorry to hear of Davids passing, David was always a pleasure to work with in solving problems. A truly amazing creator of steampunk crafts and extraordinary odd works of art. I hope the family takes tge time to appreciate his collection.

Having known David since I was a kid, he had a profound impact on my life. He mentored me, taught me about boilers and safety, and was always an amazing friend. Our shared love of antiques made for many interesting conversations over the years that resulted in the exchange of cast iron skillets, vintage fishing buckets, windchimes, handmade jewelry, and lots of other treasures. He had a work ethic that few could keep up with and always managed to stay on top of his chaotic list. He was a tough leader who could run the field, but also a caring individual who was always available if any of his team members were having a problem.

When I went through a difficult transition in life a few years ago, David was always supportive of me and would cheer me up on the bad days by leaving a jar of olives on my desk. I would make him cheesecake for his birthday and gift him with a sixer of Coors Light with a red bow on it. When he retired two years ago, I worried about him finding his place in a world outside of PMI, but he settled right in, making friends with those who had the same passion for antiques, flea markets, and garage sales that he did. While visiting Mathews a few months ago, my boyfriend, Josh, and I unexpectedly stumbled upon some of his artwork for sale at an antique shop. We spoke with the owners and they had nothing but great things to say about him and his overall kindness towards them.

Thank you for the impact you made on my life, David. You were truly a great friend. The idea of you no longer being here is hard to fathom, but I know you're in a better place now, enjoying every moment with Joan, your Mother, and your black Labrador Retriever, Max. You will be missed!
