Micah,
It's been a year now as of today and it's still hard as ever. I love you, and you will always be in my heart. You influenced my life greatly and I can never thank you enough. Be with everyone down here today, it's going to be a rough day for many. Take care up there, and I'll see you again some day.

Dear Arrants Family,
I had the pleasure of running with Micah this year on the Cross Country team and even in the short time I knew him, I could tell he was a unique and awesome individual. My fondest memory of Micah is of him and Chase giving me my nickname of Sodapop. I feel for your loss, i keep your family in my prayers, stay strong.

To the Arrants family,

First I suppose I should begin with how sorry I am for your loss. Whenever sadness overcomes me do to the loss of Micah, I can't help but think of his family. I can only imagine losing a brother or son, especially someone like Micah. I hope you know that while he'll never be in his previous form on earth again, he is always with you. Sometimes it feels like he's here with me, and whenever I feel that feeling I tell him how much I miss him and I pray to God that he'll go to the three of you. He'll never truly be gone. He's with you through everything. Just remember that. I can just see him, watching the tears fall from the eyes of so many people who loved him, and him saying "Come on now. Don't ruin any oppurtunity that comes your way by dwelling on the past. Get up and have fun." He was the type of person that always wanted the best for everyone. He put others before himself and was always concerned with others' feelings. I know the pain is almost unbearable but hopefully time will ease the pain. I just wanted you to know that your son, and brother, was the most amazing person I've ever met. The first time I met him I was drawn to him, even though I had just learned his name. He was quite the individual and caring and hard-working. At work, even if he was the last one done, he never did anything half-way. He wouldn't worry about rushing and would let anyone and everyone have the plates and cups they needed before he'd get his. We all had chores each day, and Micah had a thing for "trash and laundry." No matter who had "trash and laundry," Micah always did it, and wouldn't think anything of it. He just liked helping others. Over the summer, a new, rather odd, guy started working at Taylor Glen, and while everyone else pointed out his flaws, Micah said something nice. He said "he goes to my school and he's actually extremely smart." I was in awe of his awesomeness. He really touched my life. I just wanted you to know that. I'll never forget him. He'll be the person I tell my kids about. The person I hope they'll want to be like. I have every intention of trying to have the kindness and compasion Micah had every day. I miss him, and I always will. Know that if you need anything, I am here. Even if you don't really know me, I'd like to help if you need me.

Once again I am so sorry for your loss. Micah Rhea Arrants will forever be in my heart.

To the Arrants family,
I have been student teaching with Mr. Rhoney for the past semester. I got to know Micah through cheering for him and his teammates at cross country meets (since I am a runner myself) and being in Mr. Rhoney's room each day as runners were on their way to practice. Through the few conversations we had, I want you to know that he truly impacted me. Micah is the kind of son every person would want to have as well as the kind of student and person every teacher wants to know. I am so grateful to have gotten to know as little about him as I have. I have and will be continuing to pray for the Lord's grace on your family as well as His continued provision on your lives. Know that so many people are praying the same. God is good, He is loving, and He is sovereign over all. Remember this each morning as you wake and each night before you fall asleep. Take comfort in Him.

What an outstanding testimony your young son left on this earth! What a fabulous kid he must have been and although I never met him, I have met so many kids like him!Somehow, they always bring hope to a world that is full of hate and evil. God bless you all and take comfort in remembering what a wonderful young man you raised and what a positive impact he made!You are in my prayers...

I read with a heavy heart Micahs obituary as I offered prayers for each of you as you begin life without him in your midst. I did not know Micah yet his joy, compassion, service and committment to doing what is right is a powerful testament to his brief life. I pray your days will be comforted and complemented by delightful memories of him and by his loving pets. May you weep freely and fully in your mourning and know he is with you always. May Thanksgiving become a time for his friends and family to give thanks for his life and love and the lives he touched and improved. Peace be with you all.

I never had the opportunity to know Micah but did have the honor of working with Gail for several years. It's obvious that Micah was loved and will be missed by so many. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

I just wanted to drop you a note letting you know how much Micah meant to those around him. I run NCRunners.com and have now received emails, from members of rival schools of Micah's, telling me what kind of person he was. I know this is a hard time but try and cherish the thought of those lives he touched and will continue to touch.

My deepest sympathy and sorrow for your family. I learned of Micah's illness through my sister shannon who worked with him at taylor glen. Micah impacted her life and the life of many others in such positive ways. I will keep you in my prayers.

It was a devastating blow to hear of Micah's illness, and then of his passing. Lindsey was absolutely heartbroken. She was with Micah from Winecoff through Northwest. Dear Arrants Family,
We learned of Micah's illness from our son-in-law Eric Frueh and have been praying for him. We are so sorry to hear of your loss and continue to pray for your family at this difficlut time.

I never really knew Micha but i had Mr. Arrants both fresman year and my sophmore year. Thats all he use to talk about was Micha is such a good runner, Micha this, Micha that. Im very srry about this and i will continue to pray for the family.

Micah was truly a blessing in my life even though I knew him for a short time. He was a great guy who thought a lot of his friends and others. He always made me smile and at times he was the only one who could make me smile. I will continue to pray for the family and for the loss of their loved one. There is a place in my heart that is reserved just for Micah and that place will always remain in my heart for him.

To the ones he has left behind, I wish you all the love in the world and all of the blessings of God on your lives.

I did not know Micah but my child was in a class of Mr. Arrants in ninth grade. Micah's name was added to our prayer list this past Sunday in Sunday School and mentioned again at our ACTS worship team meeting. I wanted you to know that he will be prayed for and we are truly sorry for your loss. I have 4 children of my own and 4 nephews of the same age range and can ONLY imagine what you and your family is going through. Please know he is at peace.

I came to know about Micah from my sister, Lynn Rhymer, Principal at your son's school. Our entire family has been praying for all of you. Your son has touched so many people and has truley been a blessing to all. We are so sorry.

I've known Micah since elementary school. Never once did I know him to do anything that would be against other people. He was always trying to help someone and make them smile. I was also fortunate enough to get the chance to work with him at Taylor Glen. He was one of the greatest guys I've ever met, and we all love and miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and all of his loving friends. He will forever be apart of my heart.

Micah was a amazing person and I'm glad that I got to know him for the couple brief years we shared together at NCHS. He will be greatly missed. The Arrants family is in my prayers.

Micah will truly be missed. As you slowly return to your lives, know that you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. He will forever be the guardian angel of Northwest's class of 2008.

Micah was a real inspiration to me, and I feel he was to others as well. Please remember the life he did live wasn't wasted, but well spent. He will be deeply missed.

Micah was a great person to be around. He was in some of my classes at school and I dont remember him once getting angry or upset. He always had a smile on. He will be dearly missed.

I didnt really know Micah very well, I wish I could say he was my friend but I guess I never got the chance, I have prayed for your family so much and I will continue to do so. Micah will not be forgotten

We never had the honor of knowing Micah, but we prayed for him after hearing his story when our niece Julia was near him in the PICU. We are so sorry for your loss. We will continue to pray for God to comfort your whole family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Arrants family,
I haven't seen or heard about Micah for many years. I had him in my daycare class when he was young. Even then he was a beautiful person and we always knew he would be very special.

I was enjoying my opportunity to get to know Micah this year as my students and I prepared together for the AP Studio Art class coming up this spring. As I have heard and read about him, I have realized I didn't know him nearly enough. I am mourning the loss of the opportunity. Micah, our class will desperately miss you next semester but you will be a BIG part of it!

My daughter, Alexandra, was on the cross-country team with Micah. Let me just say that she thought he was the most thoughtful, kind, happy, joyful, energetic, hard-working, handsome young man that could brighten up a not-so-good day by just smiling. It is very difficult to understand the why of it all, if there is such a thing.
