Rebecca Ruth "Becky" Knight, 82, of Bowling Green, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.
Becky was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Adario, to John Robert and Ruth (Westbrook) Hartley. She married Richard Allison Knight on June 28, 1969, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Beckisue) Knight of Anderson, Indiana, and Thomas (Simone) Knight of Defiance; sister, Rayna Whistler of Greenville; and grandchildren, Drew, Daniel, and Allison Knight.
Being a grandmother brought an incredible amount of joy to her life and she treasured each of her grandchildren deeply.
She was also an accomplished writer, having self-published a book of poems, and she was featured in the anthology, "Who's Who in American Poetry."
Becky was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ronald Hartley.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bowling Green Manor for the excellent care Becky received over the past several years.
A service honoring Becky's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses may be given with envelopes available at the funeral home.
