Bonnie Joyce Mead, 90, died November 3, 2025, at Life Care Center in Valparaiso, IN.
She was born February 4, 1935, in Walkerton, IN, the youngest of Kenneth Emerson Hostetler and Dorothy A. (Bradford) Hostetler.
Joyce, known by most everyone, graduated from Washington Township High School. She married Joeseph H. Mead (Deceased) on September 12, 1953. Joyce was active in many sports through her life such as Ladies Golf League at US Steel Supervisors Club, Bowling League at Wellman's, Volleyball League where she was called "Jumping Joyce". Lifetime Member of EAX Sorority and loved the Garden Club and playing cards.
She is survived by her three children: William "Bill" Mead and wife Roberta (White) Mead of Valparaiso, Diana Mead Seabolt of Monticello and Sharon (Mead) Reesh with her husband Dave of Evanston, Illinois. There are six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Bartholomew's Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso. A service of remembrance will be at 10 a.m., on Thursday, November 13, 2025, followed by procession to Graceland Cemetery.

I remember playing cards with both Joe and Joyce after eating too much of a home-cooked meal on our bi-weekly visits. Golf too..... all I could want for in my in-laws. Fun times.

"Joyce" was what she was called most of the time. "Joyce" was a member of the Vale of Paradise Garden Club for many years. We have many fun memories about her and with her. We love you "Joyce" and miss you always.
