STEVEN McCORMICK Obituary

McCORMICK--Dr. Steven A. Dr. Steven A. McCormick, age 64, of Bedford, NY passed away on December 2, 2023. He was a renowned ocular pathologist and Director of Pathology at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Manhattan for 25 years. Born on June 2, 1959 in Logan, West Virginia to C. Okey, Jr. and Ernestine, he went to Duke University and received his medical degree from West Virginia University. A renaissance man, Steven was a physician, organist, pianist, chef, acapella director and an architectural enthusiast, who helped design and construct the Chabad of Bedford synagogue. A former member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Kent, CT, he was a substitute organist there as well as churches in Litchfield County, CT and Westchester, NY. Steven is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Marci, children Emma and Ben, and his brother David McCormick of Logan, WV who owns the McCormick's Department Store founded by the family in 1936.
