MOUNT OLIVE - Janice Head Kornegay, 73, Mount Olive attorney who practiced as Janice S. Head, P.A., passed away January 3, 2025.
Raised at Williams Crossroads near Mount Olive, she, her husband, and boys made their home in the Scott's Store community.
Visitation was held at Tyndall Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, January 5. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 7, at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church, corner of Tram and Red Hill Roads, Mount Olive, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ross W. Head and Sara Kornegay Head, and her parents-in-law, Donnell E. and Edith Byrd Kornegay, she is survived by her husband, Donnell E. Kornegay, Jr.; two sons, John Mitchell Kornegay and friend, Kayla Sholar, and Chase Adam Kornegay and fiance, Rebecca Grady; brother, Ross W. Head, Jr. and wife, Sandra; sisters, Joy Head and companion, Allen Baker, Vicky Ann Head Rose, Deborah Cora Head Ewald and husband, Ronald; brother-in-law, Robert B. "Bob" Kornegay and wife, Penny; sisters-in-law, Kim Kornegay and Susan Clifton; dear friend and business associate for over 30 years, Becky Kelly; many nieces and nephews, and their families.
