Mary Grove Obituary

Mary C. Grove, 83, formerly of Carmichaels, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024. She was born January 9, 1941, in Penns Grove, N.J., a daughter of the late Charles E. and Minnie M. Azzardi Grove. Mary resided in Cumberland Township most of her life, where she was a member of the St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh. She taught for 31 years at the Central Greene School District at Margaret Belle Miller until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Pennsylvania State Teachers Association and the National Education Association. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Mary was the family caregiver and her kindness always placed other's needs above her own. Surviving are a brother, Robert B. Grove of Mount Lebanon; nieces and nephews, David Grove (Sila), Kristen Grove, Wendy Hafner (Gabe), Kerri Ventura (Jimmy), and Jamie Matias (Jack); and a sister- in-law, Diane Grove of Powell, Ohio. Deceased are two brothers, Charles, Grove who died in infancy, and Jack E. Grove. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 14, in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director / owner, Aaron S. Walker, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels. A blessing service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
