Deacon Willie Avery Bowdry entered into rest on Sunday September 28, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Second Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Willie's legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind; his loving and dedicated sister, Constance Bowdry; brother, Roy Bowdry; two nieces, Tyra Bowdry, Torrie Bowdry; nephew, Russell Bowdry; sister- in- law, Beverly Bowdry; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Bowdry may be viewed on Friday October 10, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Bowery was one of my favorite coworkers decades ago as I was finding my way (a new RN)now, I’m retired but shall never forget my most loyal friend and all that he taught me!
