Betty was a graduate of Culver High School, where she was a cheerleader and baton twirler. After graduation, she began her working career as a bookkeeper at Culver Military Academy. She later worked at Bank of America in Oceanside, CA.
She enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, working in her yard, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sporting and dancing events. Most importantly, Betty dearly loved her family and the time she spent with them. She loved welcoming family and friends into her home, where she'd lovingly serve her famous homemade chicken and noodles, biscuits and gravy, and potato salad.
Betty had a smile that lit up a room. She will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Betty will be fondly remembered for saying "When you go outside, come back in!". For her grandchildren, she'd always say "Don't tell Grandpa.".
