I was very sorry to hear about Dick's passing from his sister Anne. Dick and Anne are both my cousins on my mother's side. Dick was always a kind, compassionate man. He moved away from the East Coast, where we live, years ago, but everytime he came back here on business or to visit he made a special point of visiting my aging parents. They loved his visits. Whenever you were in Dick's company it was not hard to notice that you were in the presence of a special human being. RIP Dick!

My condolences to the Freeman family. I just learned of Dick's passing and I'm sorry I missed his funeral. For the past few years I played golf with Dick every week on a Veterans Golf League (Forces on The Fairways). He was a great golfer and a total joy to spend time with. He told me last spring he was having leg problems that will side track him for a few months. Dick was a brave soldier, a great businessman, and a loving family man long before we met him. We miss him.

My deepest condolences to the Freeman family on Dick’s passing. He was a wonderful co-worker, friend, and someone who I admired greatly. I enjoyed many conversations with him about the battery business and life in general. I particularly appreciated the friendly razzing we shared about the competing high schools and colleges we attended in the Philadelphia area—Dick was a Cardinal Dougherty and Villanova grad, while I was a Father Judge and St. Joe’s grad. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
God Bless Dick and the Freeman family.

Dick was a kind soul. A gentle giant who encouraged everyone and valued personal relationships. A hard worker and someone who sought to improve all around him. He will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Dick from Alaska to the Bay Area. He was a great motivator of people. Well respected by all. We stayed in touch over the years. My condolences to his family. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Our sons played basketball with and against each other while growing up. Later on I would see Dick occasionally at Mass and we would exchange greetings. Ironically both Dick and my wife Maureen passed away on the same day. Dick was a good and decent man.

Dick was the most gifted Manager imaginable. Made everyone feel valued, and never took credit for his successes, always passed that on to his people. Gentle, yet firm he will be sorely missed. I am grateful to have served under him.

Our hearts ache for Janice, their boys, and family during this sad time. We were so honored to know Dick and Janice during our St Louis days. Dick was truly one of the "good guys!" We are so sorry we won't be able to attend the services but please know we will be thinking of you as you say good-bye and final farewell to this wonderful man! Uncle Dick, all the knowledge and wisdom you shared with us over the years will truly be missed. Now as I am a father, remember that your life lessons taught to me will be passed onto my son for future generations, including the love of the ocean, sports and fishingwe had some great times and you will never be forgotten in our hearts.
