Patrick Cozad Obituary

Patrick Allen Cozad, a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of 64.

Born November 7, 1960, in Phoenix Arizona, Patrick was the cherished son of Jack & Marilyn Cozad. He was a Navy veteran and a free spirit whose love for music and performing was enjoyed by many in SW Florida.

Performing on stage, boating, and fishing were hobbies that brought him much joy and peace.

He is survived by his children, Dylan Cozad, Harlie (Jon) Matag, Clayton (Kaitlin) Cozad; grandchildren, Adrian, Zander, Crosby, and Jack; his mother, Marilyn Cozad; brother, Mike (Sue) Cozad; sister, Christine (George) Odio; several neices and nephews; and an adored girlfriend, Susan O'Brien.

Patrick's life was a testament to living with passion and freedom. As we bid farewell, we celebrate a life that danced to its own rhythm, a spirit that will forever echo in our hearts.

I remember you strumming on the mandolin and singing back in high school days. You were singing & playing & when catching my eye you blushed & looked away. We recently had communicated after all the years. I grew excited thinking about catching up on life. Our time cut short, I will miss your kindness, your smile. I pray you rest in peace Pat.

Even though we only had 1 year together, Pat taught me to laugh again and slow down. We were together pretty much 24/7 both of us moving slowly. We took care of each other. He had a long history of women but I was his princess and I loved him so much and I know he truly loved me. Always in my heart my King

I'm heartbroken for all that loved him
Im heartsick for Marilyn, Mike and Chrissy. Our Fathers were best friends and our families close. It was wonderful to re-connect through FB a few years back with Pat.
Rest In Peace my dear friend.
