As a gardener myself, I often learned something new from her MC columns. But I also marveled that she was able to come up with a topic every week. Many of us were privileged to have known Sue sometime during our lives. What a blessing she was.

What a wonderful garden columnist and writer! Susan’s columns in the Allentown MORNING CALL were something I looked forward to reading, and I even received her advice a couple of times to my garden problems.
I loved her reflections about finding time to plant the sale plants she’d found and what next needed to be done. AND Sue’s reflections about the wildlife on your property were heartwarming. God bless her time with us.

Fran,
My deepest sympathy on Sue's passing. I read her garden column for many years, and in doing so, maintained a connection with you, a former colleague at The Express. I'm sure you will cherish the many memories of your life together. Thinking of Emma, too.

Dear Kittek Family,
I am very sorry to see that I lost another dear classmate, Sue Gima. We met in the seventh grade at Wilson High School and we’re in just about every class together. Sue was very bright but quiet. I valued her friendship and admired her work ethic. Believe it or not I read many of her articles but did not realize until now that Susan Kittek was indeed Sue Gima. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.
