Dolores Balcom Obituary

Dolores Ann Balcom, a beloved mother and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in St. Albans, Vermont surrounded by her cherished children. Born into the DeVizzio family, she was the only child of the late Frank and Ann DeVizzio.

A graduate of the Glens Falls High School class of 1959, Dolores built a successful career, contributing her talents to notable establishments including the Red Coach Grill, Bare Bones, and Under Armour. Her work ethic and dedication left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Dolores was known for her vibrant spirit and diverse interests. She found joy in caring for her pet birds, tending to her gardens, enjoying the wildlife activity around her birdfeeders, and immersing herself in the pages of her favorite books. A passionate horse racing enthusiast and an avid fan of the New York Yankees, she relished the excitement of these pastimes.

Her greatest pride and joy were her children Michelle Schweinfurth, and Gerald Todd Balcom, along with his wife Lina Balcom. Dolores cherished the time spent with her family, creating a legacy of love that will endure through them.

Dolores will be buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Cambridge, Vermont on October 22, 2025, with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Her memory will be honored and celebrated by all who knew and loved her.
