Eleanor S. Finkle

June 5, 1933 - October 31, 2024

DIAMOND POINT - Eleanor S. Finkle, 91 years old, of Diamond Point, N.Y. passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024 at the Warren Center.

Eleanor was born on June 5, 1933 to the late Walter and Calista (Leach) Streeter in Hague, N.Y.

Eleanor graduated from Hague Central School and dedicated many years as a Secretary in the business office at Lake George Central School until her retirement. She had a lifelong affection for Pomeranian dogs, a passion that brought her joy throughout her life.

Besides her parents, Eleanor is predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman Finkle who died on April 13, 2013 and 14 siblings.

Eleanor is lovingly remembered by her sister, Calista Murray of Ohio; her special niece and nephew, Steven (Bonnie) Murray of Diamond Point; and her great-niece, Tanya (Michael) Speziale; along with their children: Noah, Lilly, and Xander of South Glens Falls; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you to Eleanor's roommate, Addie, for always lifting her spirits and sharing conversations about faith. They both shared a special fondness for Kentucky Fried Chicken. A special thanks as well to Martha for your constant visits and for bringing smiles to Eleanor's days.

Friends are invited to visit with Eleanor's family on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial afterward at Evergreen Cemetery, Birch Avenue, Lake George, NY.
