Harold Gene Lutz, age 87, of Robinson Township, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at a local care facility.
He was born in 1937, in Grand Haven, Michigan, to the late Carl and Emma (Brickman) Lutz. Harold married Ruth Scharphorn in December of 1957. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2018, after 61 years of marriage.
Harold graduated from Grand Haven High School and went on to work as a tool and die maker at Hart & Cooley for many years before his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and taking walks in the woods.
Harold will be forever remembered and missed by his daughter, Sherri (Andy) Strong; and three sons: Harold (Diane) Lutz, Jr., Jerry (Ellen) Lutz, and Mike (Janis) Lutz; six beloved grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Nick) Eisen, Jonathan and Cody Buczek, Ashley and Aaron Lutz, and Trisha Averill; 12 great-grandchildren: Makenzie, Alarik, Justin, Parker, Brienna, Bentley, Ariana, Nova, Ollie, Oaklee, Finlee, and Ryan; three sisters: Elaine Lutz, Pat (Dan) Guzman, and Esther (Ben) Loosemore; three brothers: Carl (Irene) Lutz, Paul (Rose) Lutz, and Frank Lutz; and siblings-in-law, Gloria Scharphorn and Robert (Shirley) Scharphorn.
The Funeral Service for Harold will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim VanderMeiden officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Playing pool with grandpa when I visited him. When I came to Michigan see my dad I would visit grandpa we would play pool together he would always beat me haha. Probably doing all things right now in heaven playing pool.
