Barbara Brodsky Obituary

Brodsky (Licorish), Barbara A , - affectionately known by her favorite name, Aunt Barbara, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ. She was born on July 2, 1952 to Donald C. Licorish and Jeannette A. (Feltman) Licorish. Raised in Haddon Heights, she was the 2nd of six children, by just 45 minutes, as she had the unique pleasure of being a twin. After graduating from Haddon Heights High School, she compassionately worked as a cardiopulmonary technician at JFK Hospital in Stratford. For many years, Barbara enjoyed a career dealing cards at Harrah's, which led her to find the perfect man, John, who she affectionately referred to as Bubbs. They married October 21, 2000. She waited many years but would tell you, it was well worth the wait. Those who loved and knew her, know she never missed the opportunity to share her opinions. Beautiful is a word that was most often used to describe her. She is survived by her husband, John M. Brodsky; siblings Don Licorish, Tom Licorish and wife Nancy, Karen Keane and husband Tim, Annette Jensen and husband Pete; stepdaughters Sarah Brodsky, Heather Brodsky, and Megan Brodsky; as well as many beloved nieces & nephews. She shared a special closeness with her niece, Megan A. Ware. She was predeceased by parents Donald C. Licorish and Jeanette A. (Feltman) Licorish, as well as twin sister, Rosemary Licorish McGill.
