So sorry to hear this about Chopper, but I'm sure he is still smiling and waving. I had the pleasure of working and knowing him from MH Valve. And when he drove that beautiful chopper to work, we all could hear it in the offices when he cranked it up to go home (because we were not at work when he came in). I always went to the window, and he would wave at me. He was a hoot, and the man could dress!! Loved his purple outfit he wore to a Christmas party one time. Love ya and miss ya Chopper.

To: The Family of Larry Joe Mays
From: Carolyn Johnson Satcher Class of 1971 Cobb High School
I was so saddened to read of the passing of Larry Joe. We attended Cobb High School together and I did not live too far from him when I was growing up. His late sister Conetta was my classmate of 1971. He and I had mutual friends when I was in high school with him. We had some fun and memorable days going to school together. Every time I visit Anniston I had to pass his house before getting to my mother's house in Central City. I would see him working in the yard or working on his truck. I'd stop and say hello to him. I loved how he kept up his home and yard. I was glad to see how well he had prospered too. I will truly miss seeing and speaking to him as I come to visit Anniston. He was a sweet guy. All the girls loved him. May God strengthen you his family and friends as we accept his transition.
