ALBERTA JOE DALTON CORUM Alberta Joe Dalton Corum, 87, of Liberty, Missouri passed away at midnight on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Liberty Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, at Second Baptist Church Sanctuary followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Liberty. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00. Alberta was born in McDonald County, Missouri to Albert and Josphine (Owens) Dalton on July 24, 1936. She graduated from Noel High School in 1954. She married John Phillip "Sonny" Corum on August 25, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. They made their home in Liberty, where Alberta was a homemaker, business owner, avid reader and writer, and author of several books. They were married for 48 years when John passed in 2004. Alberta was a member of Second Baptist Church where she attended regularly. In addition to her husband and parents, she was proceeded in death by daughter, Pamela Corum Duffy. She is survived by her children, Bryan Corum (Jane) of Columbia, MO, Robert Corum (Jeanice) of Liberty, MO, Patty Corum (Brent Underwood) of St. Louis, MO; her son-in-law, Jim Duffy, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; her grandchildren, Charlie, Camille, Tristan, Audrey, Jake, Jenna, Ryan, Matt and Casey and their families; her great grandchildren, Milan, Moxie, Theo, Macklin, Miles, Riley, Tate, Dylan, Ashton, Phoebe, and Junior; and many treasured nieces and nephews.
