Edith Miranda Obituary

Edith C Miranda, 79, passed away on October 27, 2024 at her Chicago home. She was the wife of Restituto R. Miranda who died in 2020. They have four children. The eldest child is Edalyn "Lyn" who is married to Scott Apton. The second child, who passed away in 2017, was Joselito "Bogie" Miranda who was married to Chona B. Miranda with a daughter, Kayleigh B. Miranda. The third child is Redith "Chiquit" Adraneda who has three children and five grandchildren. The youngest child is Restituto "Arbet" Miranda Jr. and his partner is Peter Wyble.
Born in Aparri, Philippines, Edith was the daughter of Agrapino and Laura Cadano. She has three sisters, in chronological order: Fleur Delis Balasoto, Zenaida Dunga, and Ligaya Hernandez. Edith is the youngest child.
She loved sewing beautiful clothes, and her specialty was wedding gowns. She immensely enjoyed working for Marshall Field's for 25-plus years while managing her own bridal store in Chicago.
The funeral service is at Casey and Rios Funeral Home. The viewing is scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Casey & Rios Funeral Home at 4540 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago, IL. Interment will be held thereafter at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
A memorial donation in lieu of flowers may be made to your favorite non-profit organization or charity.
