Kenneth Fukushima Obituary

KENNETH TAKEO FUKUSHIMA Kenneth "Fuku" Takeo Fukushima of Hanapepe, Kaua`i, passed away with family by his side on August 24, 2025 at the age of 70. Born on June 19, 1955 in Oakland, California, Fuku filled his life with simple joys. He was a voracious reader of fiction and a talented baker. He loved listening to music and was a loyal companion to the numerous dogs he shared with his partner, Judi. An expert gardener, he specialized in cultivating tropical ferns and grew chili peppers for Judi to make into hot sauce for family and friends. Fuku will be remembered for his many interests and his calm and gentle nature. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Mildred Fukushima. He is survived by his life partner Judith S. Murakami, siblings Sharon (Wayne) Miyake, Todd Fukushima, and Sandra (Rahn) Ogino, nieces Emma Ogino, Kelsi (Ryen) Ida and Donica (Riley) Ida, nephew Davis Miyake, and grand nephew Ryder Shimizu, along with extended family and friends.
