Joanne E Jordan, 71, of Oriskany passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

She was born on May 19, 1953 in Utica a daughter of the late Francis and Ruth (Feisthamel) Clark. She was a 1971 graduate of Oriskany Central Schools.

She was employed with Hartford Insurance in New Hartford retiring in 2021 after 45 years of dedicated service.

She was a member of the former Old St. Stephens Church in Oriskany and she attended St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro. She was a member of the Oriskany Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Oriskany American Legion Post 1448 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is remembered by her family as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She cherished the time that she spent with her family, especially her adored son and grandchildren. She was a lifelong resident of Oriskany who loved her neighbors and friends and enjoyed the camaraderie that went along with being a good neighbor. During her free time she enjoyed crocheting, golf, reading, and gardening. She will be sadly missed by her many friends, neighbors, and family.

She is survived by her son Larry Jordan and his wife Deirdre Russo of Baltimore, MD. She leaves her two grandchildren, Oona and Luca Jordan, her siblings, Kay Kraeger of Oriskany, George (Chris) Clark of Fl., and Cindy (George) Roberts of Oriskany. She also leaves 11 nieces and nephews with special acknowledgement to Kerry, Jodi, Tracy and her husband Rich, and Courtney for their many acts of kindness and compassion. She leaves her special friends, Blossom, Dave, and David. Last but not least she leaves her loving canine companions, "Allie" and "Annabelle" who never left her side. She was predeceased by a daughter Allison Ruth Jordan and a brother-in-law, Gary Kraeger.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 Main St. Whitesboro with the Rev. Thomas Durant officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
