It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Shane Warman, age 63, on October 7, 2025. Chris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on May 25, 1962, Chris dedicated his life to his family and his career, leaving a lasting impact on the communities he served.
Chris was known for his passion for contracting new dock builds and his innovative work with designing floor plans for houseboats. As a Harbormaster, he was respected for his toughness and commitment, taking on the challenging role of running Lake Ouachita Shores Resort and Marina behind the scenes. The ocean waves were a source of peace for Chris, and he found joy in listening to them lap against the shore.
A true music enthusiast, Chris was a big Rolling Stones fan. Among his many accomplishments, he built the first and largest covered houseboat dock in the world, demonstrating his drive and ingenuity. His love for his Yorkie, Sassy, was evident to all who visited his home.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Teresia Warman; his children, Amber Warman Forga, Cody Warman and his partner, V Jenkins; his cherished grandchildren, Aspen and Archer Forga; his parents, Curt and Wanda Warman; his brother from another mother, Ronnie Harderster, and a large circle of family, friends, coworkers, and tenants who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cole Warman.
Chris’s legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his sarcasm, strength, and the deep impact he made in so many lives.
