Joe and I were on the U. of U. track team together and in law school together. He was indeed a fine gentleman. It was always a pleasure to meet and talk with him at various law-related events.

Joe was an outstanding jurist and wonderful person. I knew Joe mostly in a judicial capacity. Every judge in the state of Utah loved Joe and thought highly of him. He had an outstanding sense of humor. Joe will be missed by all of us
