Billy Gene Alexander (79) born on December 19, 1944, first-born son to Henry Alexander, Jr. and wife Mary Frances. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 25, 2024. Billy spent his life in Texas, mostly in San Antonio. He graduated from South San High School in 1964. A gifted athlete and member of Coach Jimmy Littleton's 1960-61 State Champions in basketball as a freshman; he and his teammates also went to state the following 3 years and he earned a scholarship to play in college. He attributes God and Coach for changing his trajectory in life. He joined the San Antonio Fire Department, serving 37 years and later graduated from UTSA. Married to Sharon Wright for 38 years. A scratch cook with an out of this world apple pie, BBQ brisket, and enchiladas. Also, a bible scholar, teller of tales and jokester deluxe, amateur body builder, professional DIY'er, outdoor enthusiast, especially fishing and hiking. He was an awesome Dad, Grandpa and Husband. He leaves two sons, two daughter in-laws, six grandsons, one granddaughter. God truly blessed him.
Visitation will be on September 5th, at 5:00 p.m., at Mission Park South. Funeral Services and Entombment will be on Friday, September 6th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Park South.
