I just learned that Wes had passed away. A few years ago, I attempted to learn where Wes was living etc. Wes and I played together on the SHS Varsity Basketball team. I use to drive down to his home and pick him up to go to basketball practice when we were in. On one occasion, I was in a bad car wreck that could have killed both of us. He was thrown out of the car. We were so very fortunate to have come out of that alive. Wes and I also went to "Boys State" in Springfield, Illinois which was an honor for both of us. I loved this guy. Wes was an intelligent, humble High School Colleague of mine and one heck of a Basketball Player. I really regret over all these years the fact that I lost track of him. Just reading his life story is so interesting; he obviously was very successful in his life, and I would have loved for us to sit down and shared our lifetime stories. God Bless Wes ... Wes was both a good friend and a classmate during his time living in Sterling. He was always friendly and kind and must important he was a humble fella. I have said a prayer on his behalf, and may his surviving family find peace in this time of loss.

My condolences to the family. Wes and I grew up together and even played Little League baseball on the same team. He will surely be missed!
