Antonio Gioiosa Obituary

Antonio Gioiosa
Antonio Gioiosa, 96, of New Haven died peacefully at home on December 4, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Lucia D'Agnelli Gioiosa who predeceased him in September.
Antonio was born in Roccasicura, Italy on November 21, 1928, to the late Domenico Antonio and Marietta Ciarlone Gioiosa. He served in the Italian Army prior to immigrating to the United States. He worked as a tailor for J. Press for many years until he retired. Family was the most important thing to Antonio. He enjoyed Sunday meals with his family, walking in Wooster Square Park and feeding the pigeons.
He was the proud father of Marie (James) Krieg, Carmelina and Giuliana Gioiosa and brother of Eva Gioiosa.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish-St. Michael Church. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum in North Haven. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. Share a memory by visiting Antonio's Tribute page at www.iovanne.com.

My condolences to you on the loss of your Dad. My memory of him will always be of him sitting on the front porch as we walked home from St.Mary´s.
