Sarah Reynoso-Palley Obituary
08/03/1957 - 02/20/2025
Sarah Maria Reynoso-Palley (née Reynoso) passed away at home, surrounded by her family. The fourth of five children of Mexican immigrants and the first to go to college, Sarah graduated from Napa High in 1975, UCSC in 1980, and UCLA Law in 1985.
Sarah began her career in legal aid and then worked for the City of Berkeley for 27 years, rising to Assistant City Attorney and then Director of HR. One colleague described her as "someone we could rely on to get the job done or to give us good advice, no matter what."
Sarah loved travel, home design, baseball, tennis, and theater, but her greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark; children, Amanda (Synuhe) and Gabe (Sarah); and grandchildren, Ariana and Jonah.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my Classmate. Sara was a sweet girl and a great Softball player. Playing on the Actionettes with a great team of girls at Kiwanis Ballpark in Napa. This is our 50th class reunion this summer. Sarah will be so missed.

I went to high school with Sarah and met her in my biology class in tenth grade. I loved her and loved her laugh greatly. She was kind, smart, and one of my best friends throughout high school. I am so sorry for this great loss and sending you prayers as a family. God bless all of you at this time.

I´m saddened to hear of Sarah´s passing.
I met Sarah in the early 70´s, when we were members of Junior Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Sarah was friendly and welcoming.
