Voicey "JR" Meece, Jr. Obituary

Voicey Alvin “JR” Meece, Jr., age 55, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

JR was born on March 8, 1969 in Somerset, KY to the late Voicey Meece and Doris Cook Meece.  He enjoyed working on cars, riding four-wheelers, demolition derby, shooting pool and playing poker.

He is survived by three sons, Cody Allen (Kenzie) Meece of Somerset, Christian Baily Meece of Somerset and Jacob William Dale Allen of Somerset; like a son, Bobby Abbott, Jr. of Somerset; one daughter, Michaela Michele (Trevor) Anderson of Nancy; two brothers, Marty (Nancy) Meece of Somerset and William (Susan) Meece of Science Hill; two sisters, Tina (Randy) Meece of Somerset and Ola Meece of Somerset; one sister-in-law, Cheri Meece of Nancy; seven grandchildren, Daizey, Jasper, Dixie, Serenity, Saphira, Samara and Sonya; and two former wives, Misty Abbott of Somerset and Jessica Segars of Somerset.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Meece.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  

His funeral service will follow on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating.
