She was born on October 17, 1915 to the late Phillip Hammond, Sr. and Alice Patterson Hammond, in Lancaster, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Bible Way Church, Washington, D.C.
Funeral service will follow on Monday, July 18, 2016 at The Bible Way Church, Washington, DC.
Interment will follow at National Harmony Memorial Park, Largo, Maryland.

To my beautiful family of Cousin Honey, I sending to you our heartfelt sympathies in the passing of a lovely lady. She was special to my family especially my late father Freddie Patterson. Cousin Honey's mother Robert Alice Patterson Hammond and my Great Grandmother Cecilia Patterson Alexander were sisters. Our Cousin Melissa asked that I write a poem in loving memory of Cousin Honey and I will be sure that you all have it very soon. Truly sorry we have lost connection of our family unity through time but I know Grandpa Iaasic and Eliza Cunningham Patterson, Honey's grandparents are smiling down from heaven.
