Marilyn Welch Obituary

Marilyn "Mary" Alice Welch, 75

Marilyn "Mary" Alice Welch, 75, of Osburn, ID, passed away on October 21, 2025 at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, ID. Marilyn was born on July 27, 1950 in Fort Smith, AR, a daughter of the late Jess Belle "JB" and Thena Harwood.

Marilyn graduated from Sallisaw High School in Sallisaw, OK. She later went on to work and retire as a customer service representative at the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Mary was very active in her church including participating in mission trips to build houses for the underprivileged in Mexico and Poland.

She married William Welch on May 20, 2008. Classmates their sophomore and junior year in high school, they reconnected on classmates.com over forty years later. The couple resided in Indian Hills, CO before moving to Idaho in early 2021. Although Mary and Bill travelled frequently, their favorite times were spent on the deck of their home in the mountains West of Denver.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry, and a sister, Eunice.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Welch, of Osburn, ID; two brothers, Jess Harwood of Akins, OK, and William "Bill" Harwood, of Medicine Park, OK; daughter Kristen Emerson, of Broken Arrow, OK; granddaughter Mayson; stepchildren Drew Welch and Erin Shoener and step-grandchildren Tyler, Kayla, Conner, Colby, Ella and Luke.

A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
