Molly BRUNNER Obituary

Molly Kramer Brunner, aged 72 years, passed away peacefully at her home on the farm she loved surrounded by family on September 29th. She was born on January 1, 1951 to Frank and Mildred Kramer. Her fierce independence started at an early age when she needed to live with her maternal grandparents due to her mother's tuberculosis. After her mother's tuberculosis abated, she grew up with her beloved horses and pets on the family farm. Molly attended school in Almira and was the valedictorian of her class. She attended Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Her junior year she attended the University of Edinburgh and spent the summer working on a kibbutz in Israel. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Zoology in 1973. She married Richard Brunner in August of 1974, and they relocated to Auburn, WA. Molly completed Med-Tech school at Tacoma General Hospital. She worked as a med tech at Coulee Community Hospital for many years. Molly spent most all of her adult life on the family farm that was started by her great grandparents in 1883. She was very proud of her heritage and the Circle K brand that has been in the family since 1885. In 1981, Molly and her husband moved to Almira to take over the family farm. She served several terms on the Almira School Board. Molly and Rick have two children: son Jesse in 1982 and daughter Lia in 1985 by way of South Korea.

Molly was a very active person - everything from Bloomsday, Klondike run, triathlons, to daily burpees. She especially enjoyed running and bicycle trips with her sister Lisa and camping and hiking with her friends and family. She also loved to travel and explore the world. She is survived by husband Richard, and son Jesse, who now operates the family farm, daughter Lia (Corey Lehnert) in Madison, WI, sister Lisa (Glen Wright) nephews Grady and Keenan, in Juneau, AK. She was blessed with two grandchildren Curtis and Paige Brunner. A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at Lafollette Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kari's Critters. Kari's Critters donations may be made at Wheatland Vet Clinic or Wheatland Bank or send to Kari 2677 Williams Rd E, Almira, WA 99103.

A little piece of my heart broke today 03/21/2025. We met at WSU. She lived at Streit/Perham Dorm. Met her in Bio 150 or 180. We casually dated after she gave in to my persistence. I left school for two years, turns out Molly had also. We ran into each other and picked up our friendship. Seems we continued to run into each other. 1981-82 she spotted me, on a Saturday, in Spokane while I was playing in a bagpipe band. Jessee was at the suitcase stage of life. I drove out to the house the next day. Met Rick as he crawled from under one of the combines. My wife and I dropped by in 1986-1987. Rick and Molly lived in the big house then. Molly will always have a piece of my heart. Rick, Jessee and Lia, please know that you have my complete sympathy for your loss. Missing the girl from Almira..............John
